Taking Rain Photos with Tamron Kit

Spring rain is a pain to most people – but you have to admit it can be gorgeous and provide remarkable photography opportunities! Here are a few tips for keeping you and your equipment, safe and dry:

Get Waterproof Casing: In order to properly protect your camera and lens, waterproof casings (similar to a raincoat, for a person) can be purchased. It’s ideal for transporting your equipment anywhere – and provides the photographer with a little extra peace of mind.

Shoot From Inside – Or Under Shelter: It seems to be the most obvious solution and can truly create some gorgeous shots. Try shooting through an open door or window – you will typically capture gorgeous close-up raindrop shots from windows. It’s also a great option when attempting to capture diffraction images, to add interest.
Use Umbrellas: If you have an extra pair of hands who will hold your umbrella while you change settings, a large umbrella is the perfect solution and will typically provide enough shelter.
Use a Lens Hood: While it won’t waterproof the camera itself, a lens hood will act as a shield for the lens and essentially minimize any rain or drizzle that makes its way onto the lens, so as to not ruin the shot.

A vantage provides advantage Have you seen professional photographers carrying around small ladders at weddings? It’s because the vantage matters.
